VICE CHANCELLOR’S MESSAGE

I take pride as the Founding Vice-Chancellor in introducing you to Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU) – India’s very first Skill University. While India has some of the very best academic institutions in the world, the skilling has remained an unchartered territory for the last few decades. Our ancient civilisation had thrived on the skills of our ancestors, which bestowed global recognition on India. The universities of the bygone era like Takshila and Nalanda were the centres of vocational and skill education. The Government of Haryana, understanding the emphasis of the Government of India towards skill and entrepreneurship development launched India’s first Skill University in 2016. The University is being set up at village Dudhola in district Palwal. I welcome the students to SVSU and wish them enriching skills learning experience.
